How to make and add switchable subtitles to DVD?

I have some Yugoslavian movies on DVD which i would like to translate into German, make subtitles(switchable if possible) and add them to DVD.
Is there any way to do that? Which programs should i use? Is there any guide on the net, because it seems that i can't find any beside those "how to rip subs...."?

why don´t you read the subtopics from this forum, entitled "ERROR! - " is not a valid integer value" and "how to add subtitles and to create chapters of an mpg". There are mine and I think they contain at least partially the response to your question.
When you read the part with the opening of the *.sub file with an text editor, note that you can translate the subtitiles line after line in your own language.
With Winsubmux or Submux you can introduce up to 4 subtitles in the mpeg file. They are multiplexed in the mpeg stream. I admit, I didn´t try, I will today, but I don´t get the errors anymore.
