familiar with: Virtual Dub and TMPGEnc).
The thing is I used to capture everything with Virtual Dub and converted the resulting AVIs into MPG files (VCD compliant). Virtual Dub is perfect for me cause I framserve the AVI including the subtitles in spanish language (that's the language I need I live in Argentina).
NOW, I have bought a DVD player for my computer, and so, I would like to know how do I do to use Virtual Dub to frameserve the ripped DVD to TMPGEnc.....
Sorry I've read many guides here, but since there are so many programs to do that, I truly don't know which one would be the one to use, considering I prefer to keep on using Virtual Dub to frameserve the AVI files (or vob or whatever it is) to TMPGEnc with spanish subtitles included.

It sounds like you bought an "internal" DVD player your computer ("I have bought a DVD player for my computer".) If that is so, it might be easier to go with one of the all-in-one solutions, such as DVD2SVCD or DVDx. These provide a graphical "front end" to well known utilities. DVD2SVCD despite it's name can also create VCDs and you can pick the audio language.

I personally prefer DVD2SVCD. DVD2SVCD can be kind of overwelming when you first start it (I have seen a number of people make that comment.) but in actuality I use it frequently, I only changed a few settings and it works great. The main thing is to point it to where your copy of TMPGenc is, and I also, changed it to use 2-Pass VBR. You will probably also want to turn off the "Title" picture, just go to the CD Image page and uncheck Title picture. DVD2SVCD takes 5-10 minutes of setup and then come back 24 hours later and burn to CD, from the image that was created.

I have tried DVDx and obtained a not that great quality MPG file (VCD compliant). So I'll try the other one you mentioned. The main thing here is that the program must be able to let me choose subtitles to be encoded within the images (I don't want separated .sub file). This I can make it with Virtual Dub, using a subtitler filter. That's why I named it as an option to framserve the movie to TMPGEnc to come up with the MPG file/s (I think TMGEnc quality results are great.
Well, hopefully the one you named will let me choose subtitles

PS: BTW, yes I bought an internal DVD player (Pioneer). It'll be my first time ripping a DVD. I used to capture the movies from my home DVD player I guess now I'll have better quality by ripping the movie straight from the DVDs))))))))
