  1. A general conversion question. Yes I am a newbie so be nice.

    Most of what I have learned is self taught and by also downloading and reading a ton of information.

    I have no particular format in mind just a general conversion question. It seems that both QT6 pro and cleaner have some of the same types of conversion options available within these 2 programs. However when doing a conversion in QT vs. Cleaner and looking at the export settings of both programs, it seems that Cleaner takes much longer to convert files. Is Cleaner doing much more behind the scenes or am I imagining it? One conversion that both will do is "Toast VCD".

    yes, MCP is going to give you *much* better results- at the expense of 50-100x the encode time of QT.

    IMHO, MCP is good for 'cleaning' and batch encodes for internet use... no matter how awesome the results, its simply too slow for mpeg encoding.
