I am convinced that life is one big learning curve of which I am always behind.

I just downloaded the full version of the Fx Mpeg Writer. After converting a MPEG file to a MPEG file with video extensions, I attempted to burn a CD with another application (Roxio Easy Creator 5). I received the following message

“This file will not work in a VCD player. To make this file video cd compliant you will need to use an MPEG encoder that supports Video cd encoding.”

What does this mean? Also, why does the program not recognize mov files?

  2. Have you tried using NERO to convert and
burn the movie to VCD format ?

  3. i have encountered the same problem...a workaround that i'm doing is after converting, i open the converted file in VideoImpression (also a roxio application) and then save the file as MPEG-VCD (NTSC-352x240). hope this helps...

  5. The reason Roxio cd creator would not work is because it does not code video, you would need Roxio's video wave to do that
