    Ive ripped a dvd and have successfully encoded it back to a dvd (after shrinking the size) but now when i come to play the file it wont play.Im getting audio in windows media player but no video. Ive downloaded every codec pack i can think of but with no joy. Can anyone help?

    hi some advice try and use dvd playing software like CyberLink PowerDVD which is one of the best software

    yeah it plays fien under power dvd but id like it to run under media player as i prefer that.

    I can't play DVD-RW with Mediaplayer, but DVD-R plays fine.
    PowerDVD and WinDVD plays DVD-RW.
