  1. After using TMPEG and being horrified with the results for a 83 minute XSVCD, I have now tried LSX and have been thrilled with the results, except for the extraordinarily large file size. I have used various bitrate calulators, including the one on vcdhelp.com, and when I put this bitrate into LSX I get a filesize of over 1.1GB, when it should be under 800MB. Does anyone else share this problem? Or know how to tweak the settings for this?

    I am using:
    a sequence of: I BB P BB P BB P BB P BB P BB I
with a maximum bitrate of 2000KB/s, average maximum of 1160KB/s and an average minimum of 550KB/s. My sound format is 128KB/s MP2.

I'd appreciate anyone's help on this matter, or perhaps an equation on how to figure out the file size for this encoder.

    Cheers

  2. Oh, and I am using a Variable Bitrate Method of Optimized Quantization Scale with a value of 3
