Please don't bash me, but I have a question. I have searched through the site and all, but couldn't find an answer. Maybe someone else has experienced this recently.... I'm getting those stupid purple blocks again while encoding! I've tried everything. Environmental settings, increasing priorities, ect...to no avail. Everytime I do adjust directshow higher in priority, and hit ok, it crashes and windows xp "has encountered a problem" screen comes up. I do need to say this, I have recently updated to directx 9 and windows media player 9. Also, I do not have angelpotion. This is driving me insane! Help please!

Hi, I recently had the same problem after I upgraded to windows xp.
Make sure you have all the codecs. divx 3,4 and 5 and if they dont help,
also install nimo codec pack. Also make sure that directshow is at a
number 1 priority.
Hope this helps you.

Ok, I have found the problem.....thank god. The problem was with the Nimo codec pack 8. I guess it was conflicting with wmp or another codec or something when I installed it *full*. After uninstalling it, and re-installing it *basic*, everything is rolling now. Thanks for the help!
