  1. I had overheard a conversation that you can play on a Sega Dreamcast system movies files that had been burned as a data file onto a CD-R disk and was wondering if anyone knew anything about this and could help me as to what type of file format would be supported to be able to do this.

I have avi files that I have burned to disk that I play these movies on my computer...but was curious as to being able play them on a Sega Dreamcast so that it can be viewed onto my TV....if this is even at all possible in this manner.

Thank you in advance for any help or info anyone can give me on this manner

  2. If you go to http://www.dcemulation.com/phpBB/ you will find info and discussions about playing DivX files on the Dreamcast. They have to be encoded at a lower resolution and bitrate than the movies you download...something VCD (352x240).

You can also play VCDs and XVCDs on the dreamcast with the right software. The above link will also help you out with that.

Good luck. I love my dreamcast by the way =)
