  1. This is probobly a common problem, but figured Ild give it a try anyway.

Ive been using VCDEasy to burn my vcds for about 6 months on my brothers pc. When we initially set it up we had to do the whole aspi and force aspi thing. Now I just got my own cd rw and did the whole aspi and force aspi, but its still not selectable.

    Its a SONY CD-RW CRX210E1 USB 2.0 External device.

Under cdrdao in vcdeasy the only selectable drive is my normal cdrom....which is of coarse useless for burning. Ive tried the vcdeasy homepage for help, but it always says "too many users online" or something like that.

Please, is there anyone who could provide any help here?

  2. CDRDAO does not support external drives.

  3. Aarrgg......bad news........Do you know of any other freeware program that I might use to burn the .bin I create with vcdeasy?

  4. The best programs to burn CUE/BIN images are:
    - CDRDAO
    - CDRWin.

Obviously, CDRDAO is out. You can download a functioning demo of CDRWin (however, limited to the minimum burn speed of your burner) from http://www.goldenhawk.com

The newer versions of Nero can burn CUE/BIN images "okay" too.

However, if you are really in a bind, try using daemon-tools to mount your CUE/BIN image as a virtual CD. Then, you can use any number of CD burning programs to copy it over onto a CD-R. This works quite well for Nero. CloneCD is reported the best in working in conjunction with daemon-tools.
