  1. I am new to this forum and appreciate some help.

I tried to burn some .avi file to make VCD. However, after the burning the cd, the CD could not be read by my burner nor the DVD player. Here is the my configuration:

    WinXP, Nero 5.5.10, Samsung CDRW/DVD SN-308B
Original .avi file format is 352x288, 12.500 fps, 45009(1:00:00)

I have tried to convert the format to Mpeg and did not help.

    Thanks for any input.

Sounds like you just burnt the AVI as a data CD the first time, which of course won't play in your DVD player.
Open TMpegEnc, select your AVI as video source (it should set the same file as audio source automatically), click on "Load", select "VideoCD (PAL).mcf", then go to "Setting". Click on "Frame rate" (yes, it's a button) and choose "Unlock". Agree. Click "Setting", and select: 25 / 2 = 12,5. Close the "MPEG Setting" box. Type in an output filename and hit "Start".

    and those who don't.
