Well install of firmware is quick and easy
I just burnt a Choice Branded 2X in 2X with InstantCD 6.5
Well again the "redondance cyclic errors" (some files not lisibles).
Hard to say if error comes from the DVD-R, i ll have other in 2 weeks (traxdata and Ritek).
Little thing that could be important : i did not do a reboot after firmware upgrade. Was it a bad idea? yes no?
Manufacturer : TDK
Code : TDKG02000000
Disc Type : DVD-R
Usage : General
Recording Layer : -
Recording Speed : 1 X - 2 X
Here are the info about my DVD-R. Those disks seems ok burnt in 1X. -
what - ?? flashing the firmware ? well it should work and does for most .. but when it comes to electronics _>> nothing is ever 100% fail safe ..
read the directions first on pioneers web site -- i can add that 1. dont if you have more than 1 hooked up at a time.
2. if mounted external , temp hook it to your ide to flash it .. works that way , not through firewire .. -
This seems to be RPC-2, so I guess you burn another life if you switch to RC1...
