My setup :
VHS recorder connected to Hauppauge WinTV with bt848 chip. I am capturing to AVI with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2.0. When I watch those AVI's there are not smooth and sometimes show stripes when moving from frame to frame. My CPU is Intel P3-800 with 512 RAM.
I am capturing to a 120 GB Matrox 7200 rpm Hdd.
I'm affraid my hardware is not up to quality capturing.
Where and how to best improve the hardware configuration ?
I am capturing with VfW drivers to AVI. I'm having problems with Ulead MPEG drivers (because I lack a hardware decoder ?).
