    i have 2 avi files (cinema rips) from grokster downloaded
    and when i encode them to mpg the screen flashes pink for some
    reason and the avi files are fine.

    any way to fix this??

    I had the same prob, found this answer from forum user IncOg in another thread:

    "Could be that you need the SMR codec installed.....u can find it here http://www.divx-digest.com/software/smrcodec.html"

    This smr codec it works for me, no more pink spots!
