Hi
Hope to get some help from the experts here. I want to archive some old vhs tapes onto vcd. I don't know what to buy to do it and don't want to spend a fortune. I have a 500mhz pentium and a 8gb hd (about half full). I understand I may need much more hd capacity to do this but was wondering if there was a way of doing it without this expense. I may not be getting the concept here but I only want to put 750mb onto a cd I don't get why I need 30gb of memory to do it. PLease help.
Cheers
Bluey

If you want to keep the file size low you might want to condider getting a capture card that captures in mpeg format. that can also get pricey however. barring that you would have to capture small portion of video at a time, convert those small portion into mpeg format then delete the original file and start the process over aagin.
