    Hi, when I try to play back VCD that is on the hard disk, I get a flashing green pixilated picture when using PowerDVD.

    Is it possible to playback from a hard disk or will I need to burn the files to CD (I'd prefer not to).

    You can play VCD from the HD with no problems. Is this possibly an AVI file? Kinda sounds like an xvid avi file, and you would need to install xvid codecs.
