  1. Ok heres the setup..i have a AVI file that was downloaded that has video lockups about 5-10 times during the movie.

The video locks up on the frame but the sound continues forever...this can easily be fixed by simply clicking the status bar on the movie over and skipping afew seconds ahead of the frame and it moves ahead to the correct area and the audios synched fine.

My problem is i need to convert this to VCD, and cant do it with TMPGEnc because it locks up on these frames.

My question is..is there an easy way to just delete these frames from the movie? I know i could obviously go in and find the exact frame they lock up at and cut/rejoin around it..but that would take an entire days worth of work and frankly just isnt worth it.

Ive tried DivFix and it didnt fix any of the lockups...anybody?

Open in VirtualDub. Scan for bad frames (Video menu). It will run for a while and mask out any frames that are unreadable. Frameserve to tmpgenc.

  3. Minor problem..when i run it through VirtualDub i get this error..

    VirtualDub Error

Internal Error: MXX State left on: T:\projects\VirtualDub_old\main\VideoSource.cpp:11 01

Naturally this looks like something's wrong with the code at that line...

Also how would i go about frameserving? i was just introduced to this concept yesterday

Are you running the latest version of VirtualDub? I think I saw the changelog said something about a bug fix related to that type of error.

For information on frameserving, see the guides under http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert, it looks like the one you probably want is http://www.vcdhelp.com/virtualdubframeserve.htm.
