  1. Hello all...
I just formatted and reinstalled the old can and of course I installed the latest drivers for my vidcard (GeForce 440 MX). With the new drivers came NView 2.0 which had some cool features, or atleast so I thought at first.

My problem is that when playing a movie in PowerDVD I get a black screen on my TV whereas it shows perfect on my computerscreen. Everything else but the movie shows up on the TV.
I tried various videoformats (SVCD, VCD, AVI, ASF) but nothing changes. When I reverted back to the previous drivers with nview 1.0 I get picture on the TV.

Is this some kind of macrovision thingy or have I just screwed up with setting this thing up??? I tried changing the TV settings but nothing helped. I also tried all the different SCARTs on the TV (regular and SVHS) as well as the ones on the VCR.... no change whatsoever so my guess is that its nView thats bugging me... now did I screw up or is it the software???

Thankful for any input and a merry x-mas to all

  2. I have 2 monitors and Nview running. PowerDVD will only play on the primary monitor - it will go black or freeze on the secondary. I'm disappointed as the second video card has the TV out option...

It might also be affected by color depth...
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'

  3. well I got it working now hehe...

here is how Im running things now...

the TV is secondary monitor with autopan locked. It's also set to automatically use the secondary screen as "fullscreen device"
using 1024x768 res on TV with 32bit colordepth

what I did was to reinstall the driver (latest off NVIDA website 41.something) and that got the movies to play on TV but it kinda jumped every 2 secs... I then tried to put the puterscreen as primary and TV as secondary with the settings listed above and now it works like a charm...

have no idea whatsoever as to why it works now and not before but Ive learned this much to never tamper with anything that works hehe so... Im happy
thx for replying kitty... merry x-mas to u
