I've been working on this for a couple months, and still no luck. I'm burning basic svcd's with vcdeasy. 1 main menu, and a second one for scene selection. I use vcdeasy to make both. The main menu comes up fine (with a link where you hit 1 to go to the first clip and play movie, press 2 to go to the scene selection menu, which has the numbered scenes). The first menu comes up fine, but the second menu never comes up consistantly. You hit 2 to go to the second menu, and it still displays the first menu. It actually goes to the second menu, because the buttons work for scene selection, it just won't display. I've tried and read everything I can think of. If it's a size problem or something, or if anyone can give me any suggestions, I'd really appriciate it. Thanks.

If anyone could help with this, I'd really appriciate it. I've blown a ton of cds testing stuff, and it's getting frustrating. I'm making my stills with vcdeasy, 704x480 original, svcd hacked. Trying to play on an apex. Thanks for any info.

Hate to bump, but after this I give up. Still haven't gotten an answer for several months. If anyone has any guesses, I'd really appriciate it. Does the same thing on both my apex players, different models.

Try updating to MJPEGTools 1.6.0-rc2 from the beta page on the VCDEasy website....

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already tried that. I tell you, it's the weirdest thing. I've blown a ton of cd's testing stuff, but it never works. I try to go to the second menu, and it never shows. Still shows the first one. But the buttons all work as if it were on the second menu. I even tried setting the second menu to replay every 1 second, and it still doesn't show. And both menus are made from the same template.

Does your disc work as intended on another player? How about a software DVD player (e.g., PowerDVD or WinDVD) on the PC?

I don't have another player to test it on, it does the same thing on both an Apex 1500 and 5131. The second menu will display using WinDVD. I've ran more tests than I care to mention, using all kinds of different clips and menus. Always the same result, the second menu doesn't show. Although every great once in awhile, when I've made a test SVCD with just a few test clips (not a whole cd's worth), the second menu shows up. Not sure thats a fluke or what. Maybe it has something to do with the size of the SVCD.

Testing today. One thing I found that I guess is a work around, is to put 3 menus in. The title menu, and 2 scene selection menus. Then just have it skip that second menu and go to the 3rd instead. It displays. If you do next, it doesn't show anything, hit next again, goes to the 3rd menu. Weird since they are the exact same file. I can use this work around, but am really curious as to what the problem is.

Does the VCDimager test disks work with your players? That might isolate things...
