  1. Hey yall who of you peeps knows about this:
    I got me a region 2 dvd player drive in my pc but i got me a region 1 dvd
    [i could only get a region 1 version its a rare dvd]
    When i play it it asks me if i want to change region to region 1 to support my new dvd disc, it also say i can only change it 4 times[3 now ]
    is there any way round it so i can just keep it playing whatever i stick in
    or m
    am i screwed?
    with out chipping, is it possibile with just software or does it look like a burn job?
    so the guy punched me, and later i stole his parrot as way of revenge

    You best search for a program or thing that lets you make your dvd drive region-free.

    Then you can put Region 1, 2, 3, 4 5, 6, 7, 8 DVDs and won't have to change (3-8 are for those weird off African/South American countries, so you'll never encounter them).

    Since I've only used Region 1 DVDs, maybe this works:

    Rip the DVD to your hard drive, and play it back with something like PowerDVD from your hard drive. That could work, but it could not since the drive would have to be able to read the other Region DVD...

    If you have a DVD burner, you could change the Region, rip it, burn the DVD to DVD+/-R disc, test it, and then change the region back.
