Hey guys,
I have been using IfoEdit to make NTSC movies, however it seems any movie which uses 3:2 pulldown causes problems with dvd players (Ie. a Pioneer 343). This is because IfoEdit can't handel the 3:2 pulldown flag correctly so any player which plays stricktly standard DVDs will skip and pause when fast forwarded.
Anyway, I know on a SVCD you need all the bitrate you can get so a 3:2 pulldown is important. However, on a DVD when you have a adverage of 5500 and a max of like 8802, Will a 3:2 pulldown really make a diffrence? If not I suppose if you use IfoEdit, you can always keep disks compatable by not using the flag. But if the quality from its use in DVD is great, it might pursuade some people to make non-standard disks which work with less players, but higher quality.
Any suggestions would be great, since I am at a loss if DVD really needs 3:2 pulldown anyways to show visible quality improvments.
