  1. Okay, so I downloaded VirtualDub because I read about it and wanted to try it out to see what it does. I have my .MPG file that I've been fiddling with for a bit and I now want to save it as a .MPG file.

    Here are my questions...

    1) How do I save it back as an .MPG?

    2) Will I lose quality when I save it since .MPG is a lossy format to start?

    3) Any tutorials available so that I can sift through for my answers?

VirtualDub was first used to capture and re-encode avi streams with preferd codec. The author has added some new functions from release to release, but this tool is not used for mpeg encoding, it's possible to use it for mpeg -> avi but not the other way around.
