  1. Hi, I think this is the correct place to post.

I read many times that 45min video fits on a SVCD (700MB CD-R)
My MPEG file is 903 Mo (947*286*016 octets)
    That's way too big for a CD-R.

I used "Ulead Video Studio 5.0" to capture from my DV.
I edited the video and I converted 45'15" to MPEG2 PAL SVCD

Here's the file info given by "VCDxmInfo" :
    ******
    MPEG2, PlayingTime=2714.958s, Bitrate=2788800bps, PtsOffset=0518s, 407609 packets

Flux Vidéo: Motion Video, 480x576, 25fps (PAL), 2519200bps
Flux Audio: Audio Standard MPEG layer2 Stereo, 44100Hz, 229376bps
    *******

If anyone can provide help, this would be appreciated,
    thanks
    Nas

  2. 40 min. of CBR SVCD at 2520 can fit on one CD. 45 min. of CBR at 2520 cannot. Looks to me like you encoded with a CBR of about 2520, so it wont fit onto one cd. If you dont need that last 5 min. then you can just cut it off and fit that 40 min. one on CD. If you DO need that last 5 min. then your going to need to encode using VBR. Use an avg. bitrate of about 2200, min of 1000, and max of 2520. And you'll fit it onto one CD.

  3. I have several SVCDs that contain 49min with 2500 as bitrate, so It's not the parameter I should change.

What should I do then? Thanks

  4. umm...i dunno then buddy. But, fitting 49 min. of CBR 2500 or VBR with avg. 2500 on one CD aint gonna happen. U need to use a bitrate of like 2050 or less.
