When I try to convert my family movies ( MiniDV via firewire ) to SVCD , there is horizontal jagged edges .
What am I doing wrong ?
VCD's seem to be ok.

What are you using to convert?

I use TMPG 12a, CBR, 2500 kbps (video), 128k (audio), 480x480 resolution. I get excellent quality output.

I used tmpg 12h with ntsc template.
I just looked at it and it is .... cq , 2520 bitrate ( grayed out ) ,224 audio (grayed out ) ,
480x480 .
I will try your settings , thanks.
