  1. I recently installed a new hard drive in my system and moved some directories (data and graphics only - no programs) around. I tried to open some MPG1 and MPG2 files created with TMPGEnc registered V2.58 with Windows Media Player V8.00.004477 (I have opened these files in the past) and received errors that the following files were missing:

    cpuinf32.dll for both MPG1 & MPG2 files
    mplapx.dll for MPG1 files
    mplvpx.dll for MPG2 files

I did a search for these DLLs on my system and found cpuinf32.dll in my Ulead DVD Workshop directory and copied to my Win XP Pro windows\system32 directory and that solved the "can't find cpuinf32.dll" problem.

However, I cannot find mplvpx.dll or mplapx.dll anywhere on my system and therefore cannot open files without them. Does anyone have any idea where I can get these files? Seems odd that they no longer exist because I've never had this problem before.

Thanks for any help - have lots of work to do over the holidays.

Same happened to me recently after uninstalling some progs. One of them uninstalled more than it should have.

Go to www.dll-files.com you will find what you need there
