  1. Hi , I am finnaly getting some successful results from using FFmpegX for vcds, but now I am having some problems with doing Divx. I am using the same source files that I used to make my vcds, a DVD movie ripped with osex. I then choose the divx preset and start the encode. Hre is the output:
    [toy:~] toyboy% pbpaste | sh
    No accelerated IMDCT transform found
    Input #0, mpeg, from '/Users/toyboy/Desktop/AB_07_050_1_SCN/TITLE01-ANGLE1.VOB':
    Stream #0.0: Video: mpegvideo, 720x480, 29.97 fps, 9000 kb/s
    Stream #0.1: Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 192 kb/s
    Output #0, avi, to '/Users/toyboy/Desktop/divx/spirit':
    Stream #0.0: Video: msmpeg4 (hq), 640x352, 29.97 fps, q=2-9, 524 kb/s
    Stream #0.1: Audio: 0x0000, 48000 Hz, stereo, 128 kb/s
    Stream mapping:
    Stream #0.0 -> #0.0
    Stream #0.1 -> #0.1
    Unsupported codec for output stream #0.1
    Encoding complete!

    I am not sure why I am getting an unsupported coded. I was able to use this same file from osex to use to maek vcds. Why is it not working for divx now? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

  2. Have you changed the ffmpeg binary inside the package? Which version are you using?

  3. I didn't change anything inside the FFmpegX folder. I am using the latest version which is g I think. I did change the mpeg2enc in /usr/bin to the one from Afropic in an attempt to try that program out, but I can't even get that one working at all. Should I use a different mpeg2enc?

  4. oops, I double checked, I did not change my mpeg2enc. I got my mpeg2enc from link in the ffmpegx readme file, which was at sourceforge. So, I have not changed any files from FFmpegX. Do you know why I can't get FFmpegX to make an avi file?

  5. hi major, just to make sure, I reinstalled mpeg2enc from soureforge and tried the divx setting again. It still doesn't work. Do you know what else could be causing the problem?
