  1. Hi!
I didn't find an answer to my problem in the forum, but maybe some of you can help?

I want to author my home videos to DVDs with ac3 sound, but I am afraid of the consequences. If I wish to take one of those DVD and reauthor (cut out scenes) will that be possible?

I have already tried cutting with TMPGEnc but that gives me a new mpg with no sound.

Is there another program that will cut an mpg with ac3-sound or is there another way?

    Please Help!!!!

And a merry Xmas to you all!

you can cut and splice ac3 and mpeg2 in vitec pro dvd tools ..

you have to do them seperate but you just go by the time code or frame count .. vitec pro can cut on I B or P frames or you can go to I frame only editing mode ..

  5. Just what I was here for too. Home Video with AC3. I can split the wav out of the avi file and encode AC3 from the wav file, BUT now tring to figure how to put them together and burn it to play in set top in AC3 and not 2 channel.
I'll keep looking and let you know if I figure something out and if you would too?
    Thanks Tim
