I'm fairly new to capturing video. I would like to be able to capture both fields of a composite PAL video signal. Ideally this would mean capturing an interlaced MPEG2 file (or any format that can be converted to MPEG2) whilst the interlacing would be identical to that of the original source.
Is there any way of doing this? Everything I try just seems to capture progressively which means it's hard to ever get quality which is any better than VHS....and far more hassle.
Surely there's a way? Anyone!?
