I noticed under the "UDF" tab in Nero, one can select different file system modes, specifically: UDF 1.02, UDF 1.50, and UDF 2.01. The default is UDF 1.02.
Anyone know what the different modes do and what the implications are for set-top DVD players?

It appears that you should select 1.02 to remain compatible with the widest range of players. If you are burning only for yourself try all three on a DVD-RW and select the one that works best for you although there should be little or no difference in performance.

the only time i could ever see using UDF 2.01 is for burning a DATA file over 4 gig size (for a single file) as i couldnt burn it any other way ..

I assumed 1.02 would give the widest range of compatibility; however, I would like to read about the differences between the formats. Anyone have a URL?
