  1. I have a few questions.

After reading and re-reading all the guides i have finally burnt a few dvd-r's and after swapping fields, sorting out aspect ratios and frame rates then comparing vbr, cbr and cq, its finally started to sink in.

    1. I have been encoding with TMPGenc with stream type set to System (video+audio) then burning with DVD MovieFactory to dvd-r, should i be using ES(video+audio)?

    2. If i should be using ES to create separate streams, i need to multiplex it back together, do i use simple or normal and what is the advantage over System (combined stream)?

If anyone could explain this final part to me that would be great!

    Please!

  2. If DVD Movie factory happily accepts the mpg files you are creating with TmpGenc, then there is no need to encode to Elementary Streams. This is required by some DVD authoring programs but gives no advantage if the one you are using accepts multiplexed program streams.
