  1. I'm currently trying to cut a scene to mpeg from an Asian VCD. My problem is that I need to get it to make the output mpeg file with the second/right speaker audio track. How could I go about doing such a thing? I've been messing around with VCDCutter and other programs to no avail. It seems all or most programs just default to the first audio track. Am I overlooking a setting or have developers not yet realized that such a simple task might be needed?

  2. Hmm,

Since a VCD cannot have more than 1 audio track, you probably have a VCD with 2 mono tracks on 1 stereo set. If you only want 1 on the two tracks, you can cut the scene you want using TMPGenc. This will create a file with both the left and right language. Now de-mux the file to a seperate video and audio file and open the audio file in an audio editor (Cool edit works for me) Now just copy and paste the the side you wanna keep over the side you don't want any more, and voíla. Only 1 language left. Downside to this is that you still only have a mono soundtrack, just not 2 mixed together anymore.

  3. I have another question related to that. I have an asian vcd that was saved as mpeg2 I believe (it was done on a mac) and I am currently trying to figure out a way to make it a single audio track of one language. How would I go about doing this? I have been directed to use Tmpgenc to do this, but haven't really an understanding how. Could someone direct me to the correct way, or most efficient way to do this? Thnx
