  1. hi...first post and all that...i've just upgraded my system with the hope my encoding speeds from divx/avi to vcd/svcd would greatly improve...although they haven't improved that much...anyone have any idea's?...help would be greatly appreciated...it's taking about 10-12 hours to convert a 700Mb divx/avi 1.5 to 2 hour film to VCD with TMPEnc if i'm lucky...i've read on this forum people converting to SVCD in a couple of hours...hope you can help...

    are you using tmpeg to encode or cce?

    and what settings do you use

    these make a world of difference when it comes to encoding time

  5. hi...i use tmpeg and usually use keep aspect ratio full screen in the clip frame...high quality in noise reduction...and high quality in motion search precision...
    thanks...what would you recommend...is cce any better

    those high quality settings are what slows it down

    most people dont use such good settings

    I on the otherhand dont use tmpeg anymore

    CCE rocks and is soooo much faster!

    not only that but the quality is superior
