  1. I know this will be answered in one of the how to's, I'm just not sure which!

I've just got the hang of making VCDs from AVIs (and MPGs) but I've now got a bunch of AVI files from a series that I'd like to put onto one CD with a little menu and stuff.

With the VCDs I'd just been converting using Goldwave and TMPGenc and then Nero for the authoring. I've just got hold of the latest version of Nero and I also have a piece of software (not yet installed) called Sonic MyDVD which came with the Memorex + Writer.

If someone could point me in the direction of the most straightforward step by step instructions, I'd be very grateful. I suspect the files will have to be MPG to do what I want to do, so I might as well start encoding now

    Cheers

You could drag the video directly to mydvd and it will convert and burn the dvd...but you will probably not get the best video quality.
    or
Try tmpgenc www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgencdvd to convert to standard dvd format and then use instead for example ulead moviefactory, workshop, spruceup www.vcdhelp.com/author#dvd (don't burn with mydvd cause it reencodes the audio to uncompressed pcm/wav audio)
