  1. Hi,
I have a lot of films on my PC as many of you probably have. Most are .avi. So I decided to burn them onto cds so I can watch them on my DVD player in the house.
I use TMPGEnc to convert the file to mpeg for burning using Nero. I have to cut the file after encoding before burning because they won't fit on one cd.
My problem is the following: some films consist of 2 cds and after encoding I can have 2 mpeg files which can be 2 giga each, which means burning the film onto 6 (yes six) cds. Is there an easier way. Would another format save me time and space?

    Cheers, Jon.

One more thing, hope it is not to late.DONīT INSTALL THE NEW version of TMPGEnc cause it has a problem which make your outputting mpg size bigger.Use the old one.I didnīt know this either, just got a msg of a member here whoīs name is pmaizitis in this forum that gave me this adress to download the old version.

  4. I have exactly the same problem, and the guide you pointed out isn't incredibly helpful because you're going to lose alot of quality doing it this way. Surely there must be a way of putting a 2CD DivX film on 3CD's (SVCD) right?

Sorry, canīt help you if you want to convert to 3 svcd.I have only done that guide I just gave you to fit one cd in vcd format.Itīs true that you lose quality doing it that way but you can try to burn it with 2 CD.
Just use this tool to calculate which bitrate you should have when burning to 2 vcd.
