    I have 10 movies that in avi format I was wondering what I can do to make them work on the playstation 2 so I can watch them on the big screen tv?

    Since you are a newbie you may want to check out the 'Newbie' section on this website. What you need to do is convert them from DivX to Mpeg2 and burn them to a Dvd-R. Dvd video is the only format that the PS2 can play.

    If you have a modchip you can use the PS2reality DivX player to watch them on your PS2.

    Yup, the man's right. The PS2 Media Player (Reality) is ace. Have a search around on PS2 forums, you're bound to find it. It converts .avi to play on the PS2.
