I'm getting a thin centered aspect instead of the original that I select in TMPGEnc. This is after I convert from avi to dvd mpeg2. When previewing it looks ok but in Media player it's not right. I kept the source aspect as vga since I don't know what it is. I've also messed around with the diffrernt setting but can't get it right. any help? I know I'm probably being too vague.

the thing that's weird is that no matter what aspect output setting I use it's the same viewing through Windows media player. ughgh I just hope I don't spend all this time encoding and burnong for it to turn out like that.

hey man,
that's just a known problem with media player
I use Msi DVD, Power DVD, or Win DVD to view all my files as these programs will keep the aspect ratio correct
give it a try and see the difference! 8)
