Hi Guys,
I've been using alot of guides and advice from this site to back up my DVDs to VCD, SVCD, CVD ect, without any real problems.
Now I'm trying to convert VHS > DV > DVD, but once about 5 to 10 minutes of the source footage is encoded, I run out of memory and it crashes.
SOFTWARE = CCE 2.50 SP / TMPGEnc / VirtualDub / Premier 6.0
OS = Windows XP Pro Spk 1
HARDWARE = Canopus DVAC 100 / PCI Firewire / Pioneer 104 DVD-RW /
Athlon XP1800 / 3 x 80GB HDD / 512MB PC2700 RAM.
I"m having no problem capturing or editing.
I've had no problem backing up a DVD rip with TMPGEnc & CCE.
I can load the avi I captured with Premier and start encoding to Mpeg2 no problem.
It doesn't matter how long the captured movie is, once about 5 or 10 minutes of source footage is encoded it crashes.
I've watched the Task Manager while it encodes and the memory used
goes right up to about 4GB, (all of my RAM & Virtual Memory), the it crashes.
Anyone who has encountered this problem, your help would be appreciated.
