MAIN QUESTION
I received a DVD-R disc with video footage that I will be editing but it was burned with menus etc instead of data (.avi files)
I use Vegas and Mediastudio (more Vegas now)
Vegas will let me pull the .vob file in for editing
but what should I output to for ZERO quality loss
I know 720x480 but should I use my DV Codec (which is DVSoft) or should I use uncompressed AVI.
OTHER HELP
The final edit will go to VHS (DVD also but the VHS will be what the client gets) through the TV Out on ATI card. Any tips for best quality would be helpful as well.
The footage was shot in 24P which is why I am so concerned about quality loss. If you haven't seen 24P .... it looks as good as HDTV on almost any television.
thanks
