  1. Hi all,

Has anyone discovered how to export to DV using TmpGenc? Right now I am exporting to a series of JPG stills, then bringing them into After Effects.
If there was a quicker way, I would love to hear it. Perhaps there's another app I could be using?

    Thanks for your help,

File-> output to file-> avi file-> video setting determines the codec (dv or otherwise)

  3. Yep, that's what have been trying, and I can only see:

    No Recompression

Do I need to point TmpGenc at some codecs or something?

    Thanks!!!!

  4. do not understand the origial question. wha tdo you mean "exporting of series of JPG stills". do you mean " converting JPG still to DV"? If that is correct, try vegas video.

  5. Sorry,

I am exporting the movie as a "still sequence," which is basically a huge folder full of .jpg frames. I can then import these back into After Effects using "import still sequence" and it turns it back into a full movie.

What i am trying to do is simply convert footage in TMPGenc to DV footage. I would also like to try converting to DV footage using DVD to AVI.

(I'm trying to re-edit footage given to me from DVD, not rip off commercial DVD movies.)

    Thanks again for any assistance!

  6. It sounds like you are making a simple thing more complicated. Let me make it short: you are trying to convert a MPEG2 DVD file into a DV file then edit it. Correct?

  7. was waiting for your response. anyway, if you are trying to do what i assumed, Vegas video is the easiest way to go. Just open any MPEG file and render it as DV(AVI) format. You need MPEG plug-in though.
