I just bought a new computer. on my old machine i would extract dat files from bin using CDmage and then watch the dat on Stamp3. Now the same files won't play on my new machine. any ideas why?
old machine: gateway 500 mhz- 128 ram- xp pro- no burner or dvd
new machine: dell p42ghz-512 ram- xp home- cdrw-dvd- easy cd creator5 and power dvd.
even power dvd wont play the dat files. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows media player should be able to play vcd dat files no problem, assuming this is what they are. Have you tried renaming them to mpg and playing them.
