  1. Hey guys,

I have a new Pioneer A05, with Nero 5.5.17 and when I make a DVD, it skips and stops in my Pioneer 343. Now this ONLY happens when I fast forward or back. If I load the disk and do nothing, it will play from start to finish fine. Im not sure about pausing or something, but I would assume it would produce the same result. Basicly playing for a bit, then studdering then a full freeze frame.

Is this a problem with Nero? Media? Or DVD Player?

    Thanks,

343 plays ok here ... though every 343 i tried , after about 6 months to a year has a problem reading svcd or vcd cd-r's .. you have to pop them in and out a few times ..

  3. What authoring software are you using? How did you burn the DVDs?

    Just some ideas !!!

Try and burn at the slowest speed

Try NERO 5582 , is very stable. 5590 gives me all sorts of problems...numerous coasters etc

    Good Luck

I read somewhere that video burning can be `distorted` if you burn at high speeds, even though you are meant to be able to

  5. ok what media are U using as my mates ao5 does the same... cheaper bulkpaq dvdr's purple tops work fine but things like riteks & ice also some prodisk dvdr's dont work & will give U this error, the disks are probably fine but they dont write properly....

get a sampler pack from bigpockets & U will be able to test the media to find a one that works 4 U.

    Kev!

  6. Thanks guys. Actualy the media I'm using is the Pioneer disks which came with the DVD Burner. Go figure?

About the problem, I wrote a better detailed discription in another thread so that people can better understand if its the DVD player, Authoring method, or Burning software which is at fault.

Media could be a problem, however I feel skeptical that packed in DVD-R/Ws by pioneer would fail on a pioneer DVD Burner and DVD Player.
