  1. i downloaded john q (divx) and i want to convert it to vcd but there is no audio, can you tell me where i can get the audio codec i need or is this movie no good? thanx for your help

  2. you can use http://avicodec.duby.info to identify the codecs used for your .avi find out the audio format and let us know, then we can help you from there

  3. this is what i found out, i hope it's the right thing. thanx again for all your help. you guys have helped me out alot. ( Audio : 157 Mb, 192 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 chan., 0x2000 = AC3 DVM, supported)

  4. You can use the freeware HeadAC3he program to convert the AC3 to WAV to make a vcd.

  5. i can convert the audio, but the problem i'm having is that the file has no audio. i think i need an audio codec, because when i watch the .avi version, there's no audio.
