  2. If you are using the trial version the 1.3 patch can not be applied.

  3. How do you know if its a trial? As far as I know its the full 1.0 Version!

  4. Open DVDWS and click on Globol Settings (upper left) the click on "about Ulead DVD worksop" and see what version is listed. I think it says trial on the splash screen on install and run but I am not sure.

  6. DId you uninstall and reinstall DVDWS? The only time I know of that DVDWS patch reports it can't find the current version is on the trial version or a cracked copy.

  7. So, if its a cracked copy there is no possible way to upgrade it?

I don't support cracks in any way shape or form. The only way to update is the buy a ligitimate copy.

  9. I dont either. But before I lay out this much cash I want to try it out, and the Trial version 1.0, the audio is out of synch with the video, so in the 1.3 version it says that its fixed. SO I want to try it out, then i have no problems sending them the money and getting a legit copy on cd. SO this is why I want to upgrade it, just so i'm not wasting my hard earned money.

  10. Download the current trial version which is V1.2 ( according to Ulead) and has the sync problem fixed. V1.2 does not handle elemental strams but it is a good look see.

This is from the DVDWS trial download page:

Check out the power and creative control Ulead DVD Workshop 1.2 gives you by downloading the free 30-day trial version.

  11. Oh, are you sure that 1.2 has that bug fixed?? I'm gonna try that! Thank You!
PS what does elemental strams mean??

  12. The audio/video sync problme was the first problem solved and that was before the 1.2 patch. Elemental steams for mpeg file are a sperate video stream (mpv) and a seperate audio stream (wave, mp2...) instead of the mpeg file which contains the muxed audio and video.

  13. Ok but it will still have good audio right?

Maybe you can answer this too, how come my Video_TS folder always has tonnes of stuff, but my Audio_TS folder is always emtpy!
Is that because i combined the audio and video?

    BTW thanks for your help!

  14. The audio should fine if your mpeg is in sync. If you have PowerDVD (or winoncd) installed on your system you can play DVD vob files on your hard drive. On DVDWS Make Disk page check Make DVD Directory. Play the vobs with Power DVD and you can check the audio/video sync without burning anything.

The construction of a DVD is explained on the left of this page under What is a DVDR.

    Enjoy!
