  1. so i bought the 7500 video card last night, hooked up my vcr, got the gold cables going out to that purple (in) device which is hooked into the video in on my capture card, when i try to do capture i can get picture but no sound. my computer has the sound blaster live! card which plays sound fine everywhere else except here. when i try playing with the audio settings, it lists "record through total recorder" and "sound blaster live!" anyone know what might be the prblem here? thanks in advance

  2. Hi, I bought the same card a few weeks back and experienced the same problem. I fiddled around and re-read the documentation. The way I was able to solve it is by connecting the other cable supplied with the 7500 that has three dongles. Connect the main end to the another connector on the 7500 card. One of the dongles needs to get connected to the input of the SoundCard.

I'm not at home and do not have the manual in front of me so excuse me if I do not have all the correct technical terms. Review the manual and it will detail these steps.

    Good luck.

  3. You're better off using your sound card to capture audio. Check your docs to see where your line in is at the back (if my memory is right, it's the 2nd one from the side of the computer), then in your mixer, at the very left (in red, where it says REC) make sure it's not a microphone, but ratter the line in. You should have sound now Good luck

  4. Yes,

Capturing through the sound card is the only way to capture audio with the Radeon.

Make sure that you have either the external mini jack from the video card dongle plugged into the sound card (line in) or the internal connector can be used.

Now go through the initialization wizard and make sure you have the correct input selected I.E. Line In or Aux.
