mpg FF?

I have mpg file but cannot fast forward the movie. What can I do to fix this?

I have lots of videos mpg files, and when I burn them on dvd-rw my stand alone dvd player reads them as regular vcd files. My player creates a menu and I can pick which ones I want to play (on the dvd-rw that I burned, I didn't author it, no menues, just simply burned videos as raw data mpg files on cd)

Well, those videos on my computer when I play them I can FF and RW (Player: Real One, Windows Media Player,....)
But now I ripped 2 mpg files from 2 cd svcd .bin images. I then merged 2 mpg files and have a one 1.3 Gb file (Triple X - movie) However, when I play the mpg file in Real One, Windows Media Player, or any other - I cannot FF or RW? The scroll bar is disabled. Even when I try to grab the scroll bar - I can't. It's just disabled.

How can I make a movie file that I could FF and RW it on my PC?

Please help.
