  1. I've used Newgen's outstanding guide to make over 30 perfect rips on one disc, but for some reason I'm running into trouble.

I'm working with 'Harry Potter' and have the Estimated File Size set at 747.61 in TMPGEnc, but the file ends up being over a gig and a half.

Does anyone what's wrong? I haven't changed any settings and now I have three movies that go over a gig.

    Thanks!

  2. Are you using TMPGEnc to make a non standard VCD (XVCD). If so you need to change the video stream type to mpeg1 video cd (non standard). If you have already encoded you can remux the video using mpeg tools and select the non standard video stream

  3. Do you mean this setting:

If so, it has always been set at, and still is set at MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard).

None of my movies now are turning out to what the Estamated size should be, all of them are well over a gig... Help!

If you have the newest version of TMPGEnc (Ver2.59) uninstall it and then install the old Ver2.58 because the new one have a bug in it which will make your outputting mpg size much bigger.
Yo can download it from here:

  6. Thanks for the info crack_man! I downgraded my TMPGEnc and it's working like a charm again. It's strange that I was able to burn about 30 movies without any problems.

Thanks to both Craig and Crack_man for helping me out with this.

  7. I was using TMPG 2.59 to multiplex and/or change the header to XVCD and was having the same problems. Going back to 2.58 solved everything. Pity, because I read that 2.59 would be faster than the previous releases...2.6 anyone?

  8. Thanks Crack_man!! I too was having this same problem. I was using the older version of TMPGEnc a while back and had no problems. I reformatted my hard drive recently and just downloaded the new version (2.59). My files kept coming out a lot bigger than the "estimated file size." Going back to the older version fixed everything. Someone should report this bug in ver. 2.59. I'm sure tons of people are having this ame problem.
