    I have a Divx file here that doesn't seem to work with TMPGEnc.
    Every time I try to load it...it will say cannot open or supported.
    but the movie plays fine in Windows media player...so I think the DivX plugins are installed properly.

    any ideas??

    Try this : open TMPGEnc, tab 'option' : environmental settings, tab VFAPI-plugin : rightclick on DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and leftclick on 'higher priority' until it reaches al least priority 1 (in stead of the standard -2). Try opening the file now.
