    I have a HP system with a HP CD Writer. last night it stopped burning. When I try to burn any type of disk, even though I have it set to "burn only no test", it will only create an image file. Then it is finished without ever actually burning. I don't get any errors.

    I'm using Nero with Win XP

    Any help is appreciated.

    You need a full versio of Nero for it to recognise your drive, if you have a full version there is an option to auto detect your writer with in nero

    I haven't used Nero for DVD's(no burner), but...I had the same problem w/burning images and not CD's. under Recorder-->choose recorder(or something similar), and then see if your drive is listed, otherwise...I'm not sure what next, aside from maybe making sure you have the latest version of Nero, and/or contacting Ahead and asking them
