Hi guys,
I'm using the latest TMPGEnc to convert to SVCD. What would give the the best quality output, either 2pass VBR 1950 or 2520 CBR? I notice you get less on a disc using the 2520 CBR but it encodes faster, but is this the better quality?
Thanks in advance & Merry XMas to all in this forum!

If you are making a standard SVCD (that is, you respect the max. bitrate limitations), then you won't get any better quality than 2500 kbit/s CBR (all other things being equal).

in general, CBR and VBR w/average at the same bitrate will give the same quality, but the VBR will be smaller file size.
what are you askin' me for...
I'm an idiot!
