  1. k, i followed the instructions on this site

i have my avi and my wave extracted with virtual dub

CBR encoding works but I wanna fit on 2 Cds (1hr 30mins)
so i ran the wizard and chose Super Video-CD NTSC VBR 1950 45min/650MB

i tweaked all the necessary settings to have correct AR and source range

then when I click start to encode, the source position stay on 0 the whole time, but the progress bar goes and remaining time goes down.
    the mpg is 0bytes.

whats going on? am i just being impatient?

  3. Which version of Tmpgenc are you using. This is typical of 2-pass VBR behaviour. Newer versions show 'analyzing' accross the preview window during this pass. Wait till the progress bar reaches or exceeds 50% and it will start the actual encode.
