i hope i am wording this correctly as i am new to capturing for dvd. i have an s-vhs vcr and want to output to my pc via firewire. now, the question is does a vcr's settings such as video calibration, video stabilization, picture control, tracking etc while turned on or off have any effect on the stream or final output when it becomes dv? does this make sense? also, if one is playing a normal mono vhs tape in an s-vhs vcr is it best to use the composite video cable or the s-vhs cable for video. can an s-vhs cable improve the quality of normal tape? 8)
